Lorde原先較為低沉的嗓音，到了副歌逐漸轉高，搭配類似福音的背景和聲
層層堆疊上去，像是隨著時間推移，時光跟著流逝一樣
即使不太願意面對，也得接受現實；但彼此之間的純真情誼，並不會因此消失
有了摯友的支持，其實長大也沒想像中可怖
可見，即使是Lorde這樣早熟的女孩子

人隨著年紀增長，肋骨部分就會越變越硬，所以當笑得太用力時，就會引起肋骨部位疼痛
因此這裡應該是比喻為成長的痛苦和煩惱
而這是Lorde所不想要接受的一個成長"過程"
因為這樣代表，過去的美好時光是不可能再重來了...

註一：Lover's Spit為加拿大獨立搖滾樂團Broken Social Scene的...應該算名曲吧，對這團也不熟悉:P
但是這首歌很好聽，聽起來有Coldplay經典"The Scientist"的那種感覺跟氛圍(但是歌詞尺度好...)
