雖然是去年6月就發行，但我之前也說過，Perfect Places絕對只能是Melodrama翻譯計畫的最後壓軸，不管其他人怎麼趕著先翻出來都不干我的事，我希望的是照專輯順序翻下來，一首一首地解釋，同時品味著專輯的主題及故事，就像還沒完成的1989及reputation那樣，把概念貫徹始終！
這首歌是當初率先發行的宣傳單中最先擊中我的一首，比起慢熱的開場曲Green Light，這首更能直接挑起聽眾的共鳴，尤其是非常有情感力量的副歌，好像讓我再次體會了19、20歲時的狂放不羈與蠻不在乎，而在這強烈的衝擊之下，是如同A World Alone那般對想像中美好世界的殷切渴望，儘管自己所仰慕的英雄們一個個凋零、死去，我們也要把他們手中的火炬傳承下去！

卻也，讓自己的容顏慢慢被腐蝕掉…

*這裡的heroes are fading，如Lorde所言是指兩位傳奇歌手David Bowie、Prince的逝世，這令她非常難過。至於對先前才開始聽這兩位大神前輩作品的我來說，同樣感到非常非常非常地惋惜，恨自己怎麼不早點去認識、了解他們！
以下就再來緬懷一次：
*off someone's face指一個人喝茫或嗑藥ㄎㄧㄤ掉，這形容讓我想起Ed的The A Team中寫的："But lately her face seems. Slowly sinking, wasting, crumbling like pastries." "但最近，她的臉龐卻…慢慢消瘦，慢慢黯淡…開始像糕餅一樣，一塊塊垮落…"。
*這個計畫到這裡總算是結束，而前天才決定重啟的我，像是又一次陪著Lorde度過這段心痛經歷一樣，好像也覺得自己有所成長了，即便內心不是那麼地想長大，也不是那麼想面對這個社會的一切紛擾，但有一句話說得很對： 「知世故而不世故，才是最善良的成熟。」...嗯，希望我也能做到這樣。
