I'm never going through that again that was like...ever, we are never ever getting back together. And...they looked at me and said we have to write that and we did. 在這之前先隨機點首歌，與本文主旨無關
意義上來說，這首歌是泰勒一個里程碑式的作品
除了開創Red時代、宣告流行樂的嘗試、生涯首支告示牌冠軍曲有史以來歌名最長的一首歌以外
更有拋棄過去自我、煥然一新的意味。
當初發行時，帶給我的震撼還沒像IKYWT那麼大，反而還挺好接受的
而且這首跟Style很像的一點是，副歌歌詞都精準地砸在鼓點上，聽起來就很順暢！
比起Style比較碎的旋律，我更愛We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together全曲整齊一致的鼓點跟合成器使用
關於歌詞的意義，我當時聽的時候，以為是單純的直接分手
但現在聽來，我卻有種Blank Space+Shake It Off的感覺(連完成過程都很類似)
怎麼說呢？ 既然Jake是PR的可能性極高，那這首擺明就是寫好玩的
如果暗戀Adam Young未果可以讓泰勒寫了一首經典的Enchanted
那跟她實際上沒有任何感情可言的Jake，也就理所當然成為泰勒內心小劇場的無辜配角了...
然後在公開場合穿鑿附會兩人電話分手的情節，使大眾對她跟Jake的交往史信以為真
而且聽說MV男主角還特意找了神似Jake的人來演出，加強印象
以這首歌跟Trouble當時的轟動程度，效果算是達到了。
(恩好熟悉的模式，讓我想到Style)

附上2013年葛萊美的開場表演
當時Haylor的"PR"關係正結束沒多久，因此有人說這表演正好是獻給Harry的
但仔細看看舞台布景，明顯就是以Alice in Wonderland為主題，難道Harry喜歡這個經典童話？並沒有吧
至少就我淺薄的印象，某哈可沒說過這件事...
一切(影片2:16秒開始)完全是逢場作戲，好讓Harry是泰勒前男友這件事深植人心
其中有段話：...I still love you and I...I'm sorry, but I'm busy at opening the Grammys...是以較特異的腔調說出來
把它框起來就是：我還是很愛妳的，只是...我很抱歉，但我正忙著為葛萊美獎開場表演。
我個人覺得，除了上面所述的目的外，更像是故意講這句話給其他人聽，或者精確點說，給"某個人"聽。
*補充一下，這時泰勒1989中所完成的歌曲是How You Get the Girl。
而這句話、甚至整個表演所要獻給的人，跟隔年的All Too Wel，是同一個人
但心境上，卻已經大不相同了。
