某人正盤算著一齣關於背叛的內心報復劇：

想起那段過往，這位主人翁回憶道：

有關於這段故事的主人翁，明眼人一看就可猜出是Weeknd自身的經歷

而誰是那位記憶中的女孩呢?

目前普遍猜測的是曾與他合作過Love Me Harder的Ariana

兩人因合作此歌生情，殊不知，Ariana當時還在跟Big Sean交往！

於是Weeknd就不高興了，寫下這段心裡話，而不久後，Ari跟Big Sean也真的分手了

(只能說明星之間的關係真的是錯綜複雜= =)

補充：後段歌詞中The hills have eyes...，是參考自經典驚悚電影"魔山"的原文片名

 

為了忘掉這段往事，Weeknd再度借助老朋友：毒品

來讓自己暫時遠離現實一陣子，而這段經歷出現在下一首主打Can't Feel My Face中

(這位是泰勒好閨蜜之一，新超模Gigi Hadid的妹妹，或許正是泰勒替他們牽線的也不一定)

八卦時間結束，回到音樂上

相較於Can't Feel My Face的MJ化，The Hills其實才是Weeknd本來的暗黑風格

但是前者較為大眾容易接受，後者則是暗沉小眾路線(The Hills對我來說也是慢熱的歌)

所以也就發生了明明The Hills才是首單，卻在二單Can't Feel My Face先奪冠之後才接著登頂的情形 囧

 

兩者質量上誰較好還真比不出個所以然

但基於我對他首張mixtape "House of Balloons"相當有好感

所以也就理所當然對暗黑風的The Hills接受度較高(懷舊模式again

 

可是Can't Feel My Face所擁有的，是突破，是嘗試

(復古的放克元素，這是他先前很少嘗試過的)

在想如果Weeknd繼續小眾下去，可能也就不會像現在這麼紅

(看看Miguel，雖然新專藝術性更強，但商業方面悲劇)

但多虧了Earned It跟Love Me Harder推波助瀾，加上流行元素滿分的"Face"

讓首次進入主流世界的Weeknd以爆發之姿席捲音樂界....

 

我個人是比較喜歡Hills

但"Face"才讓Weeknd生涯有了大突破，質量也很好

所以也就能理解為何用Face報名葛萊美了，期待二月的葛萊美能豐收！

發現那段outro其實不是英文，而是Weeknd的母語之一：阿姆哈拉語(Amharic，為衣索比亞人的官方語言)

(他的雙親於80年代自衣索比亞移民到加拿大的安大略)，感覺是女方想呼喚回男方一樣...

翻成英文大意為：
